Permutations and Combinations – 5 Card Poker Hands

In this video, math instructor at Northern Illinois University, Brian Veitch goes over the number of ways of getting the most common poker or sought poker hands using combinations and the multiplication principle. We find the number of ways of getting a pair, two pair, three of a kind, full house, and the four of a kind. I ran out of time for the Royal Flush, but that shouldn’t be hard to figure out.
